The Choice: A Poem
The Choice
by andy merrick
Twisted face and crook’ed his jaw
A Hummer choice lay at bay
He drove away most happily
Rims and chrome adorned the ride
Oh yes, he was most satisfied
Then neurons cracked and told him that
This huge machine ate lots of gas
Minor detail, no big deal
Livin the life on
And then he suddenly inferred
The price to keep this beast insured
Total cost amazing him
‘Twas mounting by the
So pondering this quandary he
Got some soap for laundry
But when he left the grocery store
The car was jacked, gone, no more.
